Post - Production (Social Media Promotional Campaign)

 

I have used Instagram and Twitter(X) as my main social media promotional platforms because these are where majority of teenagers scope through. As a teenager myself, this is where I come across new music artists, it's where I discover their songs, to which I become really fond of. So, conceptually, This is what I wanted to achieve with my work.

Why have I posted the same content across the 2 social media platforms?
This is to provide continuity, so that anyone who comes from any of the 2 platforms will receive the same information, to prevent misunderstandings or confusion. 

what is the "shop.elainecruz.com" for?
It's a made up public domain that would ideally redirect users to a website dedicated to the products I am selling, including the digipack, Asia tour tickets and possibly even future merchandise. 

Why not use TikTok?
 TikTok is a very influential platform, that allows you to post 1 - 3 minute long content that would rapidly gain views and attention. However, I decided not to use it because I believe that the support you will get from the audience is very temporary due to the rapid - changing nature of content that circulates their "for you pages". In other words, my content and music would be very easy to forget or glaze over. 

Therefore, establishing promotion on Instagram and Twitter (X) might give me more security in terms of how many loyal fans are developed, since these apps are slower in nature and gives these users time to absorb information.   

Ideally, if I were to become more established as an artist, I might consider setting up an Instagram account but this would only be because I would be more secure and would likely receive additional support from new viewers in TikTok.
